Dog training is a very comprehensive field of science  and art. There are many methods of training, but it is always best to use positive reinforcement. That means rewarding the dog for his obedience and NOT punishing the dog for disobedience. Some breeds are easier to train than others.  Some dogs of the same breed are more trainable than others of the same breed. There are so many contributing factors to consider when starting on this venture. That is why it is good to read as much about the subject as possible. Find what is working for your specific dog. But always keep it short, fun and end on a positive note!
